FACTS Administrator & Tuition Bookkeeper: Mrs. Muldoon
Mrs. Muldoon received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has served as a police officer for the Prince George's County Police Department for 20 years and is now retired. Her children have attended the school since 2012. Mrs. Muldoon was our School Secretary for 10 years and is now focused on FACTS system administration and tuition bookkeeping.

Spanish: Mrs. Skeith-Baugher

Mrs. Skeith-Baugher received a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Spanish from Towson University, and attended Boise State University for Masters level courses in Education. While in Idaho, she worked for the federally funded TRiO Pre-College Programs, and assisted students in their preparation for college. This is her 14th year teaching Spanish at OLSS.

Lunch Coordinator: Ms. Blancato

​Ms. Blancato has training in pastry arts and was the owner of a cupcake business. She has a national certification and state license as a pharmacy technician, and graduated from broadcasting school. Stephanie is committed to making lunches both nutritious and enjoyable for our students. This is her second year as our lunch coordinator.

Pre-K3 Teacher: Mrs. Pouncey

Mrs. Pouncey received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University in AL and her Accelerated Certification of Teaching (ACT) from the Notre Dame of Maryland University. She is credentialed through the Maryland State Department of Education Child Care at a Level 6. She has taught Preschool for over 15  years. This is her 6th year teaching at OLSS.​

Aftercare Director: Mrs. Quade
Mrs. Quade graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Leonardtown, and has continued her education at the College of Southern Maryland and through MSDE Office of Child Care. This is her 26th year working at OLSS as our Aftercare Director. She was also our PreK Paraprofessional for 9 years. Mrs. Quade went to OLSS, as did her mother, and her children!

Beforecare & Aftercare: Mrs. Maldonado
​Mrs. Maldonado received a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Business from St. Mary’s College of Md. She is ParaPro certified and is credentialed through Maryland State Department of Education Child Care at Level 2. She has worked as a substitute teacher for Calvert County Public Schools as well as a Transitional Instructional Assistant in the Head Start program for 8 years. Mrs. Maldonado has been a member of the OLSS parish community since childhood.

School Nurse: Mrs. Hutchins

Mrs. Hutchins obtained her Bachelor's degree in the science of nursing from University of Phoenix. She received her Associate's degree from College of Southern Maryland and her Registered Nursing license in 2008. She has been a nurse over 18 years and has specialized in various fields including cardiac care, medical/surgical, urgent care, and case management. She has one daughter that currently attends our school. This is her 7th year as our School Nurse. 

8th Grade & Vice Principal: Ms. Quade

Ms. Quade received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Towson University in 2014. She holds a Maryland Teacher Certification, and is a certified Catechist. She is a 2022 ADW Golden Apple Award recipient, a member of the 2026 ADW Leadership Academy, as well as a third generation graduate of OLSS!​ She has taught at OLSS for 11 years and this is her 7th year as Assistant Principal.

1st Grade: Mrs. Mautino

Mrs. Mautino attended Catholic School from Kindergarten through high school. She has a B.A. in Early Childhood Education Administration from Ashford University, her Early Elementary Teaching certification from the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence, and is a certified Catechist. She taught Pre-K in San Diego for 10 1/2 years before moving overseas to Japan. While in Japan, she taught at the DODEA school on base in Kindergarten, Special Education, and 1st Grade. She is the 2026 OLSSS Golden Apple Award recipient and this is her 6th year teaching 1st grade at OLSS.

2nd Grade: Mrs. Norris

Mrs. Norris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education & Early Childhood Education from the University of Notre Dame of Maryland. She taught two years of Pre-K at Cardinal Hickey Academy, and has worked as a substitute teacher for Calvert County Public Schools for several years, mainly for Kindergarten - 3rd grade classes. She has also worked as an Instructional Aid. This is her 11th year teaching 2nd grade at our school.

3rd Grade: Mrs. Funchion

​Mrs. Funchion holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. She taught 2nd and 3rd grades with Prince George’s and Calvert County Public Schools for six years and has volunteered with the Religious Education program at St. Johns Vianney for over 14 years. This is her second year teaching 3rd grade at our school.

6th Grade: Mrs. Weber

​​Mrs. Weber earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii. She taught sixth grade in Honolulu, Hawaii and Omaha, Nebraska before settling in Maryland. This is her 28th year teaching at OLSS; she has also taught 4th grade. Both of her children have graduated from OLSS.

Pre-Kindergarten Director/Pre-K4 Teacher: Mrs. Riley

Mrs. Riley holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Coastal Carolina University. She taught public PK for 4 years in North Carolina. She has worked for Magnificent Minds Learning Center in Great Mills, tutoring in Reading and Math for grades PK-3. This is her 9th year teaching Pre-K at our school.

7th Grade & Art: Mrs. Oster

Mrs. Oster has a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education, with concentrations in Math and Science, from the University of Maryland, College Park.  Since joining our Parish in 1996, she volunteered as a Catechist, Coordinator of Religious Education, and Director of Vacation Bible School. This is her 10th year teaching grade levels at OLSS. All seven of her children attended OLSS and now so does her grandchild!​​ ​

Kindergarten Aide: Mrs. Fockler
Mrs. Fockler was born and raised in the U.K. She served in the Royal Air Force as a medic, before marrying her husband John and moving to the U.S.A. They have lived in the Solomons area with their nine children since 2001. Her three youngest children all attended the school and this will be her 6th year working at OLSS.

Middle School Science & Math: Mr. Balderson​

​Mr. Balderson received his Bachelor and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University. He worked for 32 years as an aerospace engineer, specializing in the modeling and simulation of Navy aircraft. Mr. Balderson is a long-time OLSS parishioner and OLSS Seahawks basketball coach. Both of his children graduated from OLSS. This is his 5th year teaching at OLSS.

5th Grade:  Mrs. Sullivan
Mrs. Sullivan received her bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies from Seton Hall University with minors in Catholic Studies and Archaeology. She is currently studying Elementary Education at the College of Southern Maryland. She has taught 5th-8th grade ELA as well as middle school Religion and Literature. This is her 6th year teaching at OLSS.

School Secretary: Mrs. Morgan
Ms. Morgan has 20+ years of experience in business office administration with a certification as a Billing Specialist from the College of Southern Maryland. She has also done substitute teaching while her 3 daughters attended Catholic school and is now the proud grandparent of eight grandchildren. This is her second year as our School Secretary.

Music: Mrs. Gross
Ms. Gross attended Albright College and is involved in numerous chamber and concert choirs in the area, including St. Mary’s Musica and Hope & Harmony Choir. She is also a cantor at OLSS Masses and has worked with children’s music productions. This is her 3rd year teaching music to our students.

​Library & Math: Mrs. Klasko
​Mrs. Klasko has a BA in Psychology from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. She worked as a Librarian at Metuchen Public Library for two years and at Rider University's Moore Library for four years. She has been a math tutor for over 19 years, working with elementary and middle school students on SAT prep, GED prep, geometry, college algebra, and statistics. She also taught religious education and attended Catholic schools. This her her 6th year teaching at OLSS.

Kindergarten: Mrs. Shaw

Mrs. Shaw received her BA degree in Human Development from St. Mary’s College of MD, her Master of Arts in Teaching (Elementary Education) from the College of Notre Dame of MD, and has taken post-graduate courses toward a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS). She taught Kindergarten at Little Flower School for three years, K-5th for Calvert and St. Mary’s County Public Schools, and is a certified Catechist. This is her 12th year teaching at OLSS.

Principal: Mr. Bolin

​Mr. Bolin received his BA in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America, his Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology from St. Joseph’s College of Maine, and is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration at the University of Mary. Previously, he served as a Catholic Campus Minister at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, studied in the seminary for the Archdiocese of Washington, and served as a Theology teacher, coach, and Director of Campus Ministry at St. Mary’s Ryken High School. This is Mr. Bolin's first year at OLSS.

Paraprofessional & Religion Teacher: Mrs. Angelheart

Physical Education & Computers: Mrs. Grater
Mrs. Grater graduated from Indiana University of PA with a B.S. in Physical Education & Health. She has 40 years of experience teaching Physical Education. Before coming to OLSS, she was the PE teacher at an independent school in Arnold, MD for 16 years. Along with teaching at OLSS, she taught for two years at Little Flower School in Great Mills, MD.  This is her 25th year teaching at OLSS.

4th Grade: Mrs. Dailey

Mrs. Dailey comes from a family of teachers and grew up in Lothian, Maryland. She graduated from Towson University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Literature and is currently pursuing her teaching certification through Marymount University. She previously worked as a substitute teacher for Calvert County Public Schools. At OLSS she has served as a volunteer parent, substitute teacher, long-term 6th grade substitute, 2nd Grade Teaching Assistant, 5th Grade Social Studies and Literature teacher, and middle school teacher.
