OLSS School and the Archdiocese of Washington strive to ensure parents are able to give their children the gift and enduring benefits of Catholic education. Families are encouraged to seek financial assistance through the Archdiocese of Washington and other Tuition Assistance Program, detailed below.


2021-22 SCHOOL FEES

The actual cost to educate a child at Our Lady Star of the Sea School is approximately $9,500 per year.

  CATHOLIC ACTIVE PARISHIONER GRANT:

  The Catholic Active Parishioner Grant of $1,200 per student will be awarded to families who meet the following criteria:

  • The student and at least one parent/guardian must be a Catholic in good standing with the Church.
  • The family must be registered and participating members of a Catholic parish.
  • Participation means that the student must attend weekly Sunday Mass with their family at the parish in which they are registered  and must contribute their time, talent, and treasure to support the life of the Parish.
  • Families must submit the Verification of Catholic Eligibility form.



  FINANCIAL AID:
  Financial Aid is available for qualifying families from: 



  TUITION PAYMENTS:

  • Tuition billing is processed through TADS online. 
  • Payment options:
  • One full payment for year, due Aug. 10 (no payment plan fee)
  • Four quarterly payments, due Jul. 10, Oct. 10, Jan. 10, & Apr. 10 (no payment plan fee)
  • 10-month plan; first payment due Jul. 10 & last payment Apr. 10 ($50 TADS payment plan fee)
  • Payments may be made electronically through TADS.
  • A $35 late fee will be charges if the tuition payment is more than 5 days late.
  • A $35 fee will be charged for each returned payment.
  • In the event that it becomes necessary for OLSS to institute legal proceedings to collect tuition, the parent/guardian financially responsible for tuition will be responsible for all legal/attorney fees, courts costs, and any fees associated with collections agencies.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Aftercare is available from school dismissal through 6:00pm. Please see our Aftercare page for more info on the program.


Aftercare payments may be made electronically through TADS, by cash or check at the school, or by PayPal/credit card through the OLSS Online School Store


AFTER CARE RATES

Full-Time (Mon-Fri) Discounted Rate:
1 Child: $75/week
2 Children: $115/week
3 Children: $155/week


Part-Time (Occasional) Rate, Per Child:

On 3:00pm Dismissal Days: $25/day

On 12:30pm Dismissal Days: $45/day




BEFORE SCHOOL CARE

​Before Care is available from 6:45-7:30am for $5 per child, per day.
