Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions a family can make.
We recognize that parents have many educational options and that choosing a private, Catholic education represents a significant commitment of time, resources, and trust. At Our Lady Star of the Sea School, we believe that this investment should offer more than an excellent academic education. It should provide a nurturing community where children are known, valued, challenged, and encouraged to grow in faith, character, and knowledge.
We are proud to offer families a school experience that makes this commitment worthwhile.
Why OLSS?
The OLSS Experience

Centered in Jesus Christ
Our Catholic faith is the foundation of school life. Through prayer, worship, service, and daily example, students grow in faith and learn to live the Gospel.
A Community That Knows Every Child
Our small class sizes foster meaningful relationships among students, teachers, and families, allowing us to recognize and nurture each child's unique abilities.
Scholastic Excellence
Our integrated academic curriculum challenges students to think critically, develop their talents, and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
From Bay Studies along the Chesapeake to music, athletics, and extracurricular activities, students discover new interests and develop their gifts.

-OLSS Graduate
“The academic rigor of Our Lady Star of the Sea School prepared me to take all honors classes as a freshman at St. Mary’s Ryken High School. By my sophomore year, I was well prepared for A.P. course work.”
