Welcome to Our Lady Star of the Sea School!
Whether you are a current member of our school community or a prospective family exploring Catholic education, I am grateful for your interest in OLSS.
Since 1933, Our Lady Star of the Sea has been committed to providing an education centered in Jesus Christ. Our Catholic identity is the foundation of our community, guiding our commitment to Gospel values, scholastic excellence, and the formation of the whole child.
One of our greatest strengths that I’ve experienced here at OLSS is our close-knit community. Our dedicated faculty strives to provide an engaging academic environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, personal responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning. This environment is strengthened by a 10:1 student-to-teacher ratio and a 5:1 student-to-staff ratio, which allows for personalized attention and support for your children. Moreover, we recognize that education extends beyond the classroom, encompassing the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of every student.
Ultimately, our students’ parents and families are the primary educators of their children, and we are always grateful and excited to support families in this partnership of formation.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as principal and invite you to visit our school to experience the OLSS community firsthand. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at principal@olsss.org.

A Community That Knows Every Child
Our small class sizes foster meaningful relationships among students, teachers, and families, allowing us to recognize and nurture each child's unique abilities.
Scholastic Excellence
Our integrated academic curriculum challenges students to think critically, develop their talents, and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
From Bay Studies along the Chesapeake to music, athletics, and extracurricular activities, students discover new interests and develop their gifts.
